INNHF

From 01/12/2011 to 30/15/2016, ARIA srl was partner of the Marie Curie EU project INNHF - Innovation through Human Factors in Risk Analysis and Management, which involved also F.C.A., Pfizer and Tetrapak, Politecnico di Torino, Politecnico di Milano, Trinity College Dublin and University of Kragujevac. The INNHF scientific purposes were the development and application of methodologies able to integrate the Human and operational factors, and the maintenance activities, into the traditional risk assessment methods and procedures, as provided by the Technical standards and literature. These objectives were developed and achieved thanks to the researchers involved in the project and hosted by each partner, whose work was carried out with the constant help of the academic and company tutors. In particular, the following actions were developed: 1) Investigation on consequences and shortcomings deriving from the non-inclusion of the Human and Organizational Factors in the Risk assessment of various industrial fields; 2) Development of methodologies able to quantitatively and qualitatively account the Human Factors, explicitely integrating them and the maintenance activities in the risk assessment; 3) Definition of the integrated methdologies to be employed in the test case studies. ARIA srl, like the other partners, hosted for 3 years an Early-stage researcher, whose work was related to the integration of the Human factors in the ATEX procedures, which is one of the core business of the company. The developed methdology, applied to the automotive industry (test case study: F.C.A.) is explained in the publications presented at the ICheap seminars and other events:

GEOMAT

From 17/10/2014 to 30/11/2015 ARIA SRL, together with Buzzi Unicem and Politecnico di Torino, participated in the national project GEOMAT “Geopolymeric binders as an alternative to Portland cement. Technical feasibility for the production of raw materials and prototypes". The project was financed by Piedmont region within the POR FESR 07/13 program "Attività I.1.3 – Innovazione e PMI, Bando: “Accesso alle agevolazioni per studi di fattibilità tecnica preliminari ad attività di ricerca industriale e sviluppo sperimentale riservate ai soggetti aggregati ai Poli di Innovazione” – Bando Studi di fattibilità 2013”. GEOMAT aimed at developing and experimenting mortars and concretes based on geopolymeric binders; these inorganic materials have a low environmental impact, combined with phisycal and mechanical characteristic similar to those of Portland cement. After the production of the new material, and the design and creation of a prototype of a structural element, a phase of technical-economical evaluation of the product was foreseen; ARIA contributed with preliminar studies for a future Life Cycle Analysis.


DUALCEM

From 13/06/2012 to 30/06/2014 ARIA srl, together with Buzzi Unicem and Politecnico di Torino, participated in the national project DUALCEM “Development of self-healing cement materials with high durability". The project was financed by Piedmont region within the POR FESR 07/13 program "Attività I.1.3 – Innovazione e PMI, Bando per l’accesso alle agevolazioni per progetti di ricerca industriale e sviluppo sperimentale e progetti di innovazione riservate ai soggetti aggregati ai poli di innovazione” ,III Programma Annuale dei poli di innovazione". DUALCEM objective was to identify a material to be inserted in the concrete, able to produce a self-healing action in case of obsolescence or rupture, without compromising the strcutural characteristics. Different types of materals were tested; in the end the best choice consisted of little elements contianing sodium silicate. ARIA srl supplied support during the development of the materials, with a continual analysis constituting a preliminar study for a future Life Cycle Analysis.

In 2012, ARIA SRL undersigned an Agreement with Assogalvanica to supply services to their Members; a weekly free consultancy service via telephone is provided, in relation to 81/2008 and 105/2015 Legislative Decrees.
